SALINAS, Calif. —

Monterey County is just one of three counties in all of California that does not have a “high” level of COVID-19 transmission, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data.

Data shows that Alpine County has a “low” rate of transmission and Marina and Monterey County have “substantial” rate of transmission. The rest of the state is at the highest level of transmission level.
